I was born in Santiago de Cuba. I received my first Law Degree from Havana University in 1953. I practiced law in my home town until I left Cuba in 1962. In the United States I received two more degrees, the PHD from Florida State University in 1970 and the Law Degree from Florida University in 1975. I was admitted to the Flordia Bar in 1976 and since then I have been practicing law, first as a single practitioner until 1190 when Payas and Payas, P.A. law form was formed and then changed in 1993 to Payas, Payas & Payas, LLP.
