A Respected Law Practice Built on the American Dream
Dr. Armando Payas' legal career began in his native Cuba in 1953. When the family came to the United States in 1962, the only English he knew was "Thank you." In 1976, Dr. Payas was admitted to the Florida Bar after successfully completing the Cuban American Lawyers Program through the University of Florida.
The firm took shape when his youngest son, Carlos Payas, joined him in practice in 1989, followed by his oldest son, Armando R. Payas, who came on board in 1993. Dr. Payas' lifelong dream of a family-run law firm was realized, and the firm is established as a cornerstone of the Orlando area, among Latinos and the broader community.
Today Payas, Payas & Payas is a team of seven accomplished attorneys and a talented group of case managers providing focused representation in personal injury litigation and criminal defense. Our trial lawyers include a former prosecutor, two former insurance defense lawyers and a native of Columbia, Fermin Lopez, who has been selected for inclusion in 2009 and 2010 Florida Super Lawyers. In all, our attorneys bring more than 100 years of combined experience to the protection of your rights and the pursuit of justice.
